I bring stories to life through words

My entire career has been oriented around storytelling, writing, and communications. From my first roles working at a number of digital media outlets, through my experience working in comms and content design at think tanks and NGOs, and beyond, I have honed the skills required to pick out the most interesting nuggets and bring them to life. I love translating complex topics into accessible, compelling content for audiences with diverse experiences and knowledge. I believe that words have the power to drive change and love wielding them to create the right content to reach the right audiences.

As a journalist, my work has appeared in Fortune, HuffPost, Business Insider, The Daily Beast, Time, PRWeek, Campaign, NBC, BBC, Food and Wine, WEF, The Boston Herald, People, Health, Entercom, and Southern Living.

I’ve also worked as a content writer, editor, and comms consultant for a variety of organizations, from think tanks to design management consultancies, and from schools to NGOs. I wrote a book on the future of higher education with the Stanford d.school and since then, have incorporated human-centered design (and embracing ambiguity!) into everything I do.

I’m a San Francisco native who loves traveling and I feel at home on the road. Wherever I am, you’re likely to find me at a Mediterranean restaurant or checking out live music. I truly believe anything is worth learning about — and I’m willing to try anything once.

Say hey — let’s discuss how we can work together.
