In addition to my work as a journalist, I have extensive experience working as a digital communications consultant and writer. I am part of the Stanford d.school’s Craft Circle collective of freelancers, covering events, writing content for the school’s website, and collaborating with d.school staff and faculty on a variety of projects. I also frequently work as a writer for World 50, a private community for senior-most executives from globally respected organizations to intimately share ideas, solutions and collaborative discovery.
Previously, I have worked at Portland Communications, a fully integrated communications consultancy based in London. I designed and delivered communications strategies, messaging, and press coverage for leading global philanthropic and political organizations. I also served as a freelance consultant for Global Witness, an international NGO that works to break the links between natural resource exploitation, conflict, poverty, corruption, and human rights abuses worldwide. Working with the forests team, I oversaw media relations and digital content for a campaign on illegal logging in the DRC. I also drafted press and digital content, including blogs and op-ed for the organization’s annual environmental defenders report.
